About Us

Welcome to Taqdees Foundation

Rebuilding Lives with Dignity, Purpose & Opportunity

At the heart of every struggle is a human being searching for hope,
safety, and a second chance.
was created to become that hope.

We are a Texas-based nonprofit organization committed to empowering
women, supporting vulnerable communities, and creating sustainable
opportunities for people rebuilding their lives after trauma, poverty,
displacement, abuse, loss, or hardship.

Founded by Maria Taqdees, the Foundation was born from lived
experience, resilience, and more than 15 years of humanitarian,
peace-building, and women empowerment work across communities.

Our Mission

To empower women, families, youth, and underserved communities through education, vocational training, mental health support, entrepreneurship, food assistance, and community-driven programs that create long-term impact.

Our Vision

We envision a world where every individual — regardless of background, gender, immigration status, trauma, or financial hardship — has access to safety, opportunity, healing, and the tools needed to build a better future. We believe empowerment is not charity. It is giving people the opportunity to stand on their own feet with dignity.
